d verreckt II
well... i guess that is slightly exaggerated. still.... my phd thesis ruins my eyes. really badly.... and one could say i haven't even started working on it properly. well that's also exaggerated. already today i am scared of the times when i will have to write up the stuff that i have been doing during the last three years or so... spending hours in front of the screen. "lord, have mercy" nikolai the flower guy would say.
starring at these little indices all day long is not good for me. and the optician told me yesterday how bad it actually is. it is very bad.
so i am a bit down at the moment.
my strategy not to run to fielmann's unless it has to be... has it worked out? i guess it doesn't make a difference. if i had gone earlier it would have been all the same probably.
in a week or so i will see the world again in all its shaprness... don't know whether i really want to.... sometimes it's better walking through the mist.
anyways, a littel story asides. there is this weird thing: i don't know why but at fielmann's there work only germans. "so, where from germany do you come from?"
....
i guess that german german got imprinted in my brain.
i am very grateful for various proposal for future jobs that don't ruin one's eyes. mr. dipl.ing. schau already mentioned: basejumper. but also mountain guide (all sorts of guides would work, i guess). professional reader of large letters are an option.
